Recology and cleaning
I LOVE Recology Sunset Scavenger!
So for the past 2 weeks I've been trying to process the reality that my sweetheart of a friend can no longer store my large amount of GreenStyled materials in his basement. Rolls of remnant fabric for linings, rolls of scrap sceening and bags of gorgeous tumbled glass for necklaces and cuffs, and BAGS, BAGS, BAGS, ... . Ok, time to pull my neck outta' the sand and get to work. Sunday, after I fortify myself with fluffy scrambled eggs, Acme bread, and the most delicious fresh fig jam, and cheese from Cowgirl Creamery in the Ferry Building; I go downstairs and stare for a few minutes at a basement of STUFF. Where does stuff come from? Boxes, and boxes, and boxes ... . Ok, I dive in.
YESSSS, 8 hours later I have an awesome clean work place, and a HUGE pile of PAPER. Boxes, tissue, wrapping paper from every birthday and Christmas EVER; and baskets in every size and shape. I know a very creative Easter bunny. LOL. and then there's stuff.
Today I wake up ready to schedule a special pick up with Recology Sunset Scavenger; and then I hear the clank, clank, clank of the truck picking up my neighbors bins. ahhh, music to my ears. Grabbing a couple of the bags of paper, I run outside. Not my pick up day, but the guys take the time to make numerous trips into my basement, carrying away my junk.
A new GreenStyled atelier.

Reiki/Repurposed
Went for a Reiki session today. Christopher Tellez has his practice,
SF Reiki Center in ACTIVSPACE at 18th and Treat.
Feeling renewed I come out onto Treat Street, and walk by the few adorable salons that are part of ACTIVSPACE. The amazing smell of tuba rose candles wafts out of one. A sign in front of Bisa Bisa catches my eye. "Accessories from recycled materials". Love this place! The owner Chelsea is commited to offering a combination of local artists, and sustainable/fair trade work. She asked about the SWEET D handbag. Super excited about showing her all my work next week.

Gift Shops
So there are Art Galleries, and clothing stores, and then there are gift shops. Gift Shps, that's a really big group. No wonder we need a magazine like Gift Shop Magazine to put it all together.
Thank you so much to Poornima and Nancy for picking My GreenStyled Cuff as one of the Fab Finds. Check it out in the Gift Shop Magazine winter 2013 issue. Page 150-151.
Time to call the Gift shops and give them a show.

Legal Help
So here I am cleaning up my inbox, and I found this great email from Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area.
They have this fantastic program called, Legal Services for Entrepreneurs. About 2 years ago I was approved for their program.
Then to make the whole thing even more fabulous, I was a guest at their annual MLK luncheon, and feaured in their holiday guide. Legal Services for Entrepreneurs
I had 2 amazing lawyers from the firm of Davis Wright Tremaine, working pro bono. Having them help me was so much fun. Not only did they help me work through a couple of legal problems, they loved what I was doing. What an amazing experience.
A huge thank you to LCCR, and all the people who do pro bono work. Especially my awesome lawyers, Phil Poirrer and Stephanie Wang.

Art Galleries
When I walked into Modern Eden Gallery in North Beach, Kim the incredibly sweet and savvy, (not always an easy combination), said "what a beautiful necklace". I had come there to see if she felt it would be a nice fit.
Now that's what I call getting the year off to a good start; or ending one with a bang. :)))

Labels
I just called It's Mine Labels, the great small business that makes labels. I needed to order some more labels for my GreenStyled Sweet D.
Guess what, Lucinda is using my label on her site. I love it. It's Mine Labels sew on labels.
Lucinda, the owner is so charming and helpful. As a small business owner herself, she really knew what I needed and wanted. When I first started GreenStyled with the GreenStyled Carry-All I knew a label could help immensely with advertising. What to put on the label, clarity, catchiness, there are so many factors. As GreenStyled evolved, so did the label. Lucinda has such a good eye. She shared and helped me excecute the GreenStyled message; all on a label. WOW
